Mission

We are here to help women who have experienced any number of issues related to trauma, sex trafficking, sexual
exploitation, sexual assault, involvement in prostitution and those with addiction issues. In helping them, we offer
safety, services, and a vision for their future. The main goal of our program is to help women achieve stability and
begin to heal. Designed to offer residential care, the program is set up to help stabilize the women who enter, give
them a chance to be alone and quiet with their thoughts, and then decide about the future. For women who feel that
long-term is not the right choice, our goal at Safe Places for Women is to help her transition to the next step by
establishing services in the community or by assisting her as she enters a different placement. If she chooses to stay in
our program, she can progress through 3 phases of our residential program: stabilization, healing and growth. The
phases are not time limited or measured by weeks; rather, each woman will work with her care team to set goals for
progression to the next phase. At each phase, new components of programming are introduced, all culminating in
independence and self-sufficiency. While with us, residents will be provided services such as assessment, targeted
case management, therapy using trauma informed and trauma focused techniques, life skills training, peer support,
and other daily living tasks. Referrals come from a multitude of agencies and organizations such as law enforcement,
non-government organizations, hospitals, and other service providers. We provide a safe, faith filled environment.
