Mission

The PEHT Home is a community for women in recovery from sex trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation, substance use, and trauma. The mission of the PEHT Home is to provide sanctuary along with an array of supportive services, educational opportunities, paid vocational training, employment and safe, transitional housing for healing and restoration. The vision of the PEHT Home is that of women growing individually and collectively, while living in community. We seek to empower women by:

Providing a 24 month, rent-free, home environment based on a trauma informed, community living model;

Providing a survivor informed, trauma informed residential community that promotes growth and change;

Providing educational and opportunities;

Fostering self-understanding through personal, emotional, and spiritual growth;

Offering the time and support needed to recover from prior trauma and to fully understand the role it plays in commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking;

Providing a matched savings program for income and savings development;

Offering opportunities to work towards economic self-sufficiency at our social enterprise Love your pet, change the world.
