Mission

We serve San Diego’s sex trafficking victims by offering a real way out. GenerateHope is a faith-based organization providing long-term, comprehensive programs to women who have been sexually trafficked, so that they are able to reintegrate into society and walk powerfully into their futures.

 

GenerateHope’s Volunteer & In-Kind Needs (San Diego, CA)

Our most urgent volunteer needs in San Diego are for assistance with transporting clients to and from off-campus appointments, and respite residential shifts to give our Resident Guides breaks & days off (typically 4-8 hour shifts available).

Other opportunities include Adjunct Class teachers for different life skills; “Friendraiser” hosts for small fundraisers; facilities assistance with Gardening / Lawn Care, Organization, and Cleaning; Mentorship for residents (long-term weekly commitment); and Paid Internship placements or Job Connections for GenerateHope Residents.

Our current in-kind needs include:

Clothing & Accessories: New Running Shoes (please inquire for needed sizes), Fuzzy Robes (XL-3XL), Summer Pajamas (XL-3XL), New Modest Plus-sized Clothing, Jewelry

Personal Care: Quality Face Care Products, Acne Cream, 5-6 blade Razors, Shower “Buff Puffs”, Dry Shampoo, Manicure Sets

School Essentials: Scientific Calculators, Flash Drives, Dry Erase Whiteboard Cleaner, Colorful Index Cards

Financial Support: Cash Gifts to support Textbooks, Curriculum, and Collegiate Fees

Field Trip Support: Passes to Museums, Aquarium, Exhibits, Concerts, Theater, etc. (8 tickets minimum)
