Job title: Development Coordinator
Position: Full-Time Salary Pay
Reports to: Executive Director
It is the Development Coordinator’s role to oversee and manage new and existing donor information, along with developing and managing strategies that will maximize growth and profitability for the organization. The Development Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining the records of donations and donor information.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Recommends, develops, and implements improved strategies/processes and donor development methods to generate higher returns and workflow optimization
-Responsible for maintaining the flow of contributions and expanding the pool of benefactors for FREE using a variety of marketing techniques such as social media, video, email, text and print
-Engages and maintains relationships with donors and prospective donors
-Coordinate and execute fundraising campaigns to meet the organization’s targeted goals
-Ability to receive and implement projects from management with little or no supervision to accomplish projects within the allotted time frame.
-Maintains all aspects of the organization’s Donor Database including database upkeep and maintenance, donor information, donation receipts, and donation acknowledgements/appreciation
-Researches, recommends, develops and implements new ways of engaging existing donors with value for the purpose of increasing overall donations. This includes encouraging one-time donors to consider ongoing donations and ongoing donors to continue to support the organization.
-Ability to research and apply for local grants and philanthropic money
-Engages and develops strategies to utilize social media to bring attention to FREE’s mission and vision as well as attract and engage potential donors and existing donors
-Develops, implements, and assesses the results of various Donor Surveys for the purposes of engaging the donors and accessing the most effective ways to add value to the donors and therefore effectively market the organization’s mission and vision
-Recommends, develops and implements new ways of reaching the community with our mission and vision for the purpose of increasing and expanding the number of donors and donations to the organization
-Coordinates and executes fundraising campaigns to meet the organization’s targets.
-Shares outcomes with stakeholders of the organization
-Develop and implement a stewardship plan with the help of the Executive Director
-Develop and implement new ways to thank and recognize donors
-Prepares, manages, and files all tax letters and thank you letters for donations received daily and at year-end
Skills & Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/communications or Nonprofit experience
-Experience in Marketing/Sales for two or more years
-Proficient knowledge of Excel Microsoft Office/Google Sheets, Google Documents, PowerPoint/Keynote, and/or Windows-based Computers
-Proficiency in donor management systems is a plus
-Well-organized, detail-oriented person
-Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
-Has excellent peer relations and is able to communicate effectively with the community and with past, current, and prospective donors individually.
-Ability/Willingness to learn new systems for the betterment of the organization
-Excellent work ethic, good people management skills and the ability to perform well in stressful situations
-Excellent communication and multitasking skills
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Strong problem-solving skills, decision making skills, and ability to work in a team environment
-Manifests evidence of personal faith in Jesus Christ and knowledge of scriptures
